We’re excited to introduce one of our new videos, freshly baked for Pagevibe.

Pagevibe is a great little startup, founded by three friends in Israel who believe the internet can be better used to bring people together and share information.  What the technology behind their idea does is that it motivates your website visitors to share their thoughts and add relevant content  to your web pages. Best part is that it rewards the most helpful visitors for providing the best content.  It’s kind of a win-win for both visitors and site owners. We love it!

It’s been a lot of fun working with the Pagevibe team on this video.  So, we wanted to share a couple of ‘behind the scenes’ shots of the whole creative process.

The formula is pretty simple:  Start with a  good script and stroryboard… add some nice Photoshop polish… and finally add the animation and sound FX. Only then you’ll  get the full mojoness that you deserve:

It’s hard to believe that Thinkmojo’s first full year of business is about to end. What a ride! I think we can say it’s been a pretty successful and exciting year for a couple of guys who started a business out of passion for design. That being said, it’s almost sad to know the first year is just about to be over. After all, there is only one ‘first year’ in a business history. But hey! We’re pretty proud of what we’ve accomplished this year.

Some of you might have first heard of Thinkmojo about a year an a half ago with the launch of wp-mojo.com, the first premium WordPress themes aggregator and PressMojo.com which helps small businesses easily set up their own WP powered websites. We’ve always been pretty involved in the WordPress community. So much in fact, that this year we helped launching the very first WordCamp in Edmonton, Canada. (yep, Thinkmojo is half Edmontonian, half San Franciscan). This was a great success and we can’t wait to contribute more to the community in the future.

But, if you’ve followed our work just even a little bit this year, you probably noticed that we’ve also been drifting away from the WordPress world to focus (dare I say “pivot”) on a different kind of work: video animation.

And that’s where it gets really exciting for us. Video as always been what excites us the most. We’ve been designing short promotional startup videos here and there for a little while now and always had so much fun doing it. And for the first time this year we felt that all the conditions were there to finally make the big jump.

So in February we  launched startup-videos.com. The idea behind it was to share publicly all the cool products, apps and startup videos that we’ve come across and inspired us over the last 2 years. We thought that if it was useful to us, it could probably be useful to the rest of the community as well.

And more importantly we started focusing exclusively on producing videos ourselves. So, in the past 6 months of doing this we got to meet, work – and even party – with fantastic people. I can’t tell you how fun and inspiring it is to collaborate with startup founders, creative teams and passionate tech enthusiasts.

Among other gigs, we were lucky to work with TechCrunch Disrupt finalist SneakPeeq as well as many other genius startups like Smartzip, Beat the Traffic, Guluk, Fancite and more recently DietBet and Pagevibe. Thinkmojo also earned it’s spot on the VIP list of featured video producers from Wistia’s 50 Grove.

Overall it’s more than 20 videos that were crafted on our AfterEffect machines. That’s more than 120,000 frames of pure animated video and many, many more hours of late working nights. But hey, we’re asking for more! In fact we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming next. We’ve got big plans for Thinkmojo 2012… but that will be the subject of another blog post coming soon. So stay tuned.

In the mean time, we want to thank you all: our fans, friends, family, clients and partners for a truly awesome first year. And here’s to an even greater year 2012!

Since we ourselves design these kind of promotional startup videos, we thought we could provide a good answer to the question. And this actually motivated us to do a little more than that. See, we’ve been bookmarking all the cool products / apps / startup videos we stumbled on over the last 2 years.
